Have you read any good summer books lately? Join folks from the Mary Blood Library and the Mt. Ascutney Interpreter for a hike to a woodsy spot to share your latest favorite read. From humor to SciFi to mysteries, you can read and share a new book of your choice or even one you have enjoyed in the past.
A few suggestions if you're looking for a woods-themed read: A Walk in the Woods; How to Love a Forest; The Last Child in the Woods; The Hike; Cabin: Off the Grid Adventures; Serviceberry; The Trail; Wild Ideas; Grandma Gatewood’s Walk; The Overstory; The Hidden Life of Trees. And there are so many others!
We’ll have the “books in the woods” outing on July 18th, so you have time for a good summer outdoor read. Enjoy!
Location: Mt. Ascutney State Park. (Drive the toll road to the top.) You do not need to pay the toll; just let them know you are with the library program.
