Books in the Woods

Have you read any good books that have inspired you about the outdoors, nature, or the climate? Join folks from the Mary Blood Library and the Mt. Ascutney Interpreter for a hike to a woodsy spot to share a book you've read or hear about what others have read! This could be anything from a non-fiction book, a memoir, a fantasy novel, a gardening book, or a thriller that takes place in the woods.

A few suggestions: A Walk in the Woods; How to Love a Forest; The Last Child in the Woods; The Hike; The Snow Child; Cabin: Off the Grid Adventures; Prodigal Summer; Serviceberry; Migrations; The Trail; Wild Ideas; Grandma Gatewood’s Walk; The Overstory; The God of the Woods; The Hidden Life of Trees. And there are so many others!

Location: Mt. Ascutney State Park. (Drive the toll road to the top.) You do not need to pay the toll; just let them know you are with the library program.
